Students: All first-year students are required to attend Advising & Orientation (A&O). Review our A&O policy for more information.
By participating at A&O, you will:
Family Members: Students are encouraged to register their family members for Family Orientation. Family Orientation helps parents, partners, grandparents and other supporters of first-year students learn how to support their student's transition to UW.
Advising & Orientation is hosted in a mix of online and in-person sessions. Review additional information about navigating as a Neurodistinct Husky, A&O format and required first-year content. Check out our A&O FAQ for answers to common questions.

Get involved in RSOs and sports clubs, you’re definitely going find at least one that fits your interest! With so many options to choose from, it’s a great way to explore your passions, meet new people, and receive valuable opportunities.
